Human Kindness is overflowing...

and I think it's gonna rain today!  It is most amazing the power of human kindness...like Bette Midler says, it's overflowing! We are in awe at the outpouring of support and love from people we know and people we barely know, even total strangers!  A simple gesture by the Funicello boys to have a lemonade stand/bake sale has snowballed into a newsworthy event! The boys began by presenting the idea to their mom after they were deeply affected by the news of their friend, Faith. Amy liked the idea and shared it with a few friends, who shared it and low and behold, Facebook invites are circulating creating a big buzz! The boys bake sale has now gotten the attention of the local news!

I know that Faith is special, all children are! She has a gentle, loving, infectious spirit that the good Lord filled her with when he gave her life.  We are so blessed that we get to call her ours! I know some of the energy behind the support for her comes from her.  But I also have to believe that simple human kindness drives people to be inspired to help! When I hear about all of the bad things in the world, I truly try to remember that there is so much more good than bad! There really is! People want to help, they want to see the good in the world and the good in themselves.  That's why we are all here on this planet together, it has to be. We are all filled with goodness and love from the beginning.  Our crazy, busy, lives sometimes allow us to forget that. But all it takes is a smiley 11 year old who always believes that she will be ok and never complains, to remind us that we are good and we can do good together!
